Electric stations

We carry out design and construction works for new electric substations or modernization/refurbishment works for existing ones. In the execution of the stations, we aim to fulfill the specific requests of electricity distributors and/or those of the transport operator so as to ensure the reliability and flexibility of the installations, as well as the optimization of the land surface used. ELM Electromontaj offers complete solutions in the construction of transformer stations up to 400 kV:
  • Feasibility study;
  • Solution study for the inclusion in the system;
  • The technical project and execution details;
  • Solutions for connecting stations to the National Energy System through LEA or LES;
  • Primary circuits, secondary circuits – equipment assembly, control & protection, metering, SCADA, automation, communications;
  • Constructions, installations, architecture, etc.;
  • Roads and landscaping;
  • Soil investigation: topography, geology, technical expertise.
In the case of station upgrades, the process is carried out without total interruption, with the establishment of technological execution processes that allow the shutdown of operation on distinct portions of the installations and the realization in stages so that the operation of the upgraded stations is affected as little as possible or not at all. Among the technologies used in the station modernization works are the following:
  • Installation of aluminum tubular bars and their joining by means of screw clamps – less expensive process, with easy transport, feasible in any temperature conditions; it is not necessary to mount the entire section, it can be done temporarily and allows the installation to be kept in operation;
  • Repair and strengthening of concrete elements with modern technologies, strengthening of elements with carbon fiber where the reinforcement is damaged;
  • Reuse of existing foundations by embedding in them some bolts with epoxy resins and replacing concrete apparatus supports with metal supports
