The work is part of the project to close Romania's 400 kV Ring in the southwest area and represents a major investment for Romania, having an essential role both for the energy security of the country and for the development of the local economy.
The interventions were mainly carried out in the area of the Iron Gates with a crossing over the railway and over the national road, so additional safety operations were necessary and the pace of execution was conditioned by the traffic in the area but also by the running of the trains (the works being possible only when the railway line is de-energized).
