Our company has executed in Iraq almost 900 km of 33 kV overhead power lines and also turnkey projects for 400 kV double circuit lines.
Also in this country, several 132 kV lines were completed that crossed mountainous areas, plains, pastures, cultivated areas, desert, irrigated areas, covering the entire country.
Among the main features can be mentioned the crossings of the Tigris and the Euphrates with spans between 500 and 800 m, the pillars having more than 100 m. The foundations of the lines were executed from prefabricated elements and prefabricated pillars.
It was also made an overhead power line (170 km) of 220 kV double circuit with two conductors per phase. The consultancy was provided by an Egyptian company, and the project complied with the requirements of English standards and the International Electrotechnical Commission.
